Emily Ratajkowski confirmed her new relationship with director Romain Gavras.
Ratajkowski, 34, took to Instagram on Thursday, February 19, to debut her romance with Gavras, 44. In a carousel of photos, the model shared intimate moments with the film and music video director. In one photo, Gavras wrapped his arm around Ratajkowski’s waist and head as she cuddled up with him. The next snap showed him standing in a snowy street in New York City.
Ratajkowski also shared a photo of herself enjoying a meal with Gavras. He placed his arm on her lower back and gazed into the camera while Ratajkowski stuck out her tongue. Another pic showed the twosome standing closely with their sneakers touching.
Ratajkowski’s friends and fans were quick to support her relationship in the comments section.
“❤️,” commented Alexa Chung, while a fan added, “❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ YES to finding love again.” A third wrote, “Oh we love to see it 😻.”
Ratajkowski was previously married to Sebastian Bear-McClard.
She and Bear-McClard, 45, sparked romance rumors in February 2018. That same month, she announced that they tied the knot.
In April of that year, Ratajkowski explained during an episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that Bear-McClard proposed to her at a restaurant in New York City, which she initially turned down because “he didn’t have a ring.”
“Then he took the paper clip that the bill was paid with and made me a ring, which I actually thought was really romantic,” she shared.
In October 2020, Ratajkowski announced that she and Bear-McClard were expecting their first baby. She gave birth to son Sylvester, now 4, in March 2021.

In July 2022, the former couple called it quits after four years of marriage. She later opened up about her decision to end things during an episode of the “Going Mental With Eileen Kelly” podcast.
“I didn’t have the courage to leave for a long time. I was really, really unhappy,” she said. “I was, like, 100 pounds and I had just had a baby. I got really skinny because I was not OK.”
She added, “I tried to take antidepressants. I was sure that something was wrong with me. I think so much of what I learned coming out of that relationship is to trust your instincts. Gaslighting is a real thing.”
Ratajkowski and Bear-McClard coparent Sylvester, but their son reportedly lives with the Gone Girl actress full-time.
In 2023, she got candid about her fear of losing custody while chatting with the Los Angeles Times. “I’m scared,” she said. “I’m learning that outspoken women don’t often get their children.”
Gavras, for his part, dated Dua Lipa in 2023 and was with Rita Ora from 2020 until their split in 2021. He also has a daughter from a previous relationship.
